仏説一切如来金剛寿命陀羅尼経
このように私は聞いた。
ある時、仏はガンジス川のほとりにおいて、多くの僧侶および偉大な菩薩と無量の天的存在と人と大衆と共におられた。
その時、世尊は毘沙門天らの四天王（毘沙門天・増長天・持国天・広目天）に向かって次のようにおっしゃられた。
「四つの法則がある。大いに畏れ敬うべきである。
男や女、男女の子供をはじめ、すべての生きるものは、この法則から免れることはない。
それはいわゆる生老病死(しょうろうびょうし)である。
特にこの中において、ひとつの法則が最も悩みを引き起こし、それを退けることは困難である。それはいわゆる死の怖れである。
私はこのことを哀れんで、それを退ける教えを説こうと思う」。
その時、四天王は仏に次のように申し上げた。
「世尊よ。私たちは今日、大きな幸いを得ました。
ただ願わくは世尊よ。人々のためにその教えを説かれますことを」。
その時、世尊は御顔を東の方角に向けて指を鳴らし、すべての如来を招集され、次のように誓いの言葉を述べられた。
「あらゆる方角におられるすべてのこの上ない悟りを得られた如来たちよ。人々のために悟りを明らかにされる方々は、みな私を助けてください。
今、私はすべての如来の威神力（いじんりき）をもって、すべての人々から命を奪う業（ごう）を変えて寿命を延ばさせましょう。
私は今まで、まだ人々のためにこの教えは説いておりません。今、まさに教えを説いて、人々の肉体の寿命の力を増し加え、思いがけず死んでしまうことの怖れを持つことのないようにさせましょう」。
このように、東の方角ばかりではなく、南、西、北、北西、南西、南東、北東、上、下の方角のすべての如来を招集して同じように誓われた。
この時、仏の目で見ることのできるあらゆる世界から、すべての如来が赴いて来て集まられ、空中を満たした。その数はまるで塵の数のようだった。
その時、すべての仏たちは、人々に霊的力を与えるために、異口同音に、『一切如来金剛寿命陀羅尼(いっさいにょらいこんごうじゅみょうだらに)』を次のように説かれた。
「たにゃたしゃれいしゃらしゃれい みなていそばさちけい しゃきゃらげらじはらしゃまんど さるばろぎゃ さるばさたばなん あだたいくだたいまかだたい しゃれいしゃれい けいまぎょうりけいまにきさんにけいましき きょうらびきょうらめい けいくらびくらりくまち びしゃまにまに しゅしゅびばあしゃれいみしゃれい まびらんばこもうこもう おんばさらゆせい そわか」
All Tathagatas in Buddhism Vajra Life Dharani Sutra
Thus I heard.
One time the Buddha was on the banks of the Ganges River with many monks, great bodhisattvas, countless celestial beings, people and masses.
At that time, the World Honored One addressed Bishamonten and the four heavenly kings (Bishamonten, Zochoten, Jikokuten, Komokuten) and said as follows.
“There are four laws, which should be greatly feared and revered.
All living things, including men, women, and children of both sexes, are not exempt from this law.
This is the so-called birth, old age, sickness and death.
Of these, one law in particular causes the most trouble and is difficult to dismiss. It is the so-called fear of death.
I pity this thing, and I will preach a doctrine against it.”
At that time, the Four Heavenly Kings said to the Buddha:
“World Honored One, we are blessed with great fortune today.
I just wish, my dear one. May you preach his doctrine for the sake of the people.”
At that time, the World Honored One turned his face to the east and snapped his fingers, summoning all the Tathagatas, and said the following vows:
“All supremely enlightened Tathagatas in all directions.
Now, with the mighty power of all Tathagatas, I will change the karma that takes away the lives of all people and extend their lifespans.
I have not yet preached this doctrine for people. Let us now preach the doctrine to increase the strength of the life of the human body so that people will not be afraid of dying unexpectedly.”
Thus, not only the eastern direction, but all the Tathagatas in the south, west, north, northwest, southwest, southeast, northeast, upper and lower directions were summoned and vowed in the same way.
At this time, all the Tathagatas from all the worlds visible to the Buddha’s eyes came and gathered together to fill the air. The numbers were like dust.
At that time, all the Buddhas unanimously preached the Issai Nyorai Kongo Jumyo Dharani in order to give people spiritual power.
