The Song of Samantabhadra

白き風よ　森を渡れ
青き蓮に　光の声
六つの牙は　時を越え
静けさの中　慈悲は生まれる

すべての闇に　花を置き
ただ慈悲を生きよ　普賢のように

White wind, drift through the forest,
On the blue lotus, a voice of light.
Six tusks pierce beyond all time,
In silent grace, compassion is born.

青蓮の上　風ひとつなく
夜は沈み　光だけが語る
その瞳は　千の闇を越え
真実を見つめる　智の微笑

闇を裂く　智慧の剣よ
迷いの花よ　青く咲け
今ここに　心は明となる

Upon the blue lotus, no wind breathes,
Night falls silent, only light speaks.
Eyes that cross a thousand darks,
A gentle smile of knowing truth.

On Alahasha Now—
O sword of wisdom, pierce the night!
Let the flower of doubt bloom bright and blue,
Here and now, the heart becomes the Light.

夜空の果てに　蔵は眠る
誰も届かぬ　光の奥で
願いの声を　静かに聴き

オン・バサラ・アラタンノウ
無限の慈悲よ　今ここに
心の蔵を　開くとき
闇は消えて　光となる

At the edge of night, the vault lies still,
In the depths of light, no heart can reach.
He listens softly to voices that pray,
As tears of stars turn into wisdom’s ray.

Oṃ Basara Aratannow,
Infinite mercy, now be here.
When the heart’s great vault opens wide,
Darkness fades — and light appears.

宝より生まれし光
宝生如来

Born from the Treasure — Hōshō Nyorai

静寂の金の間　ひとすじの光
胸の奥で眠る　永遠の種よ
貧しき涙にも　微笑みをくれる
その名は宝生　世界を包む風

願いの声よ　天へと還れ
外には何も　求めはしない
我が心こそ　無限の宝

In the silent hall of gold, a single beam of light,
The eternal seed that sleeps within my heart,
Even to tears of the poor, a gentle smile is given,
His name is Hōshō — the wind that embraces the world.

Ong Aratannow Sambamba Tarak,
O voice of prayer, return to the heavens above,
Nothing outside do I seek anymore,
For within my heart lies the infinite treasure.

こくうぞう ぼさつ

虚空蔵菩薩

梵名は、アーカーシャガルバ (ākāśa garbha) アーカーシャは「虚空」、ガルバは「胎蔵」という意味です。

菩薩の福徳と仏智が大空 (虚空)のように広大無辺であるところから、この名がつけられました。 その限りない福と智の徳を、必要とする人に必要なだけ与える、といわれています。「慈悲」の地蔵菩薩に対して「智慧」の仏として信仰されています。

この虚空蔵菩薩を本尊として修する「虚空蔵菩薩求聞持法」は、頭脳を明晰にし、記憶力を高める修法としてよく知られています。

同じく「虚空蔵菩薩念誦法」は、業障を除き、 福徳円満にして物心両面の財宝を得ることができるとされています。
