Introducing the spirit of Brahmanism to a Buddhist spirit that has a powerful relief power
It is possible to imagine worshiping by name.
I wonder if it became the word of Nagarjuna that “Kanzeon Bodhisattva and other Buddhist land came.”
Speaking of which, Nagarjuna is an extremely worshiper of Kannon, and it is said that the “quasi-Kannon Sutra” is his work, and upon entering lonely, the five bodies are said to have become the Gokannon image of Gogen.
Then, where and how did the Bodhisattva Bodhisattva come from?
Freedom from Hinduism
Then, first of all, in ancient India, “Avarokita, Ishvara”
Isn’t there a god whose name is close to that?
‥
There is.
‥
There is a famous god in Hinduism.
It is called Maheshvara (great freedom, presiding deity).
Mahe is Maha and is “large”, and Schwarra is Eshvala and is “free” and “free”. This god was later incorporated into the late Mahayana esoteric Buddhism and became “Mago Shura” and “Daibousen”.
Bodhisattva was “Avaroki Kiteshvara” with “Avaroki Kita” (view) and “Ishvara” (free), and was translated as Chinese. The “great god” is the one with Maha (large) and Ishvara (free).
I think that this Maheshvara was adopted by Buddhism and changed Maha into Avarokita so that it could be viewed freely. However, there are also the following opinions.
The name of Ishvara (freedom) is associated with the two major deities of Hinduism, Maheshvara (Maju Shuraten, Daihaku Tenten), but since this god is a destructive god, it is rather a guardian deity Vishnu ( Shonin Ten, Nara Enten) is closer to Kanzeon. This god is changing.
Some studies are characterized by having a thousand merit and having a lotus flower in their hands, and they are regarded as the source of the Amida and Kannon beliefs. “The Buddhist/Indian Thought Dictionary”
However, I still stick to the name of Ishvara (freedom).
As the two main deities of Brahminism and Hinduism, Vishnu and Shivua are famous.
Maheshvara is the incarnation of this Shiva God. Shizua God has various appearances and various names. There are 108 names, and it is said that they appear in a thousand. The most famous of them is Maheshvara.
Š Shiva is a violent and destructive god as described in the Buddhist and Indian Thought Dictionary, but it also turns into a happy and happy god. It changes freely.
The other God, Vishnu, is the deity of the sun and is represented as a huge young man.
With three steps, it joins the three worlds of heaven, sky, and earth, and the first two steps are in the view of humans, but the third step reaches the highest heaven, where the gods and ancestors live, It is said that the fountain of sweet dew will boil and enjoy all kinds of good luck. In addition, his princess Lakshmi is worshiped as a goddess of beauty, wealth, and good luck (incorporated into Buddhism, becoming a Kichijo maiden).
Vishnu’s salvation power is exerted as an incarnation (incarnation). The number of incarnations is constant
There is no, but the most representative is the theory of ten incarnations. It appears as a fish, a turtle, a wild boar, a lion, a dwarf, an Rama with an ax, a Rama prince, a pastor Krishna, a Buddha, and a hero Kalki, who voluntarily appear in the world and save faithful good men and destroy bad guys.
In this way, it seems that Vishnu is closer to the viewpoint of revealing thirty-three bodies and saving people, but in the later epic “Halivanshiya”, Vishnu and Shivua The view is that they are the same god.
In other words, Maheshvara is the incarnation of both Shivavishnu gods, which implies the great saving power of Maheshvara. Furthermore, it is the reason why Hindus have gained immense popularity because of their ability to change freely and save people. Actually,
Maheshvara is so popular among Hindus that it surpasses both Shivavishnu.
When Buddhism pays attention to this, it is a wonderful skill to add that this God “sees” to those who wish for salvation. By “watching” something begging for help, a strong sense of unity and a sense of trust will spring up. Exquisite naming. I am
Then, it may be called “Avaloki Kita Maheshvara”.
In that sense, I don’t think it’s appropriate that most commentators up to now interpret it as “free to watch.” I think this should be “free to see and save.”
Wouldn’t this be much more dynamic and attractive?
Impressive Buddha and Creative Buddha
Now, in the previous section, I followed the literature, and if so, I followed Avarokiteshvara.
However, the world is not all divisible by reason. Moreover, to the gods
It belongs to the mysterious world concerned. Various things happen beyond human thinking. Therefore, it is also necessary to look from a different angle.
There are two types of appearance of the Shinto buddha.
”It is “impression” and “creation”.
Sense is to feel the gods and Buddhas through a spiritual experience. It is to directly touch the power of the gods and Buddhas.
Those with special spiritual abilities, those who continue a deep and pure religious life, and are committed to penance and discipline
Such things happen to people who live.
The impressed gods and Buddhas appear on the basis of mysterious experiences, that is, they appear by spiritual chery, so many miraculous phenomena are accompanied.
In contrast to this, the created Shinto buddha is a representation of a single bladder that is a two-storied dormitory. For example, like the deity of the sun like Vishnu
is there. In short, it is a god and Buddha made from the head. On the other hand, the gods and Buddhas that have the impression are spiritually manifested gods and budds.
However, some of the impressed gods and Buddhas are mere illusions and illusions. But,
Even if they are treated and worshiped for a time, they do not continue.
Avarokiteshvara may have been the name given to the existence that represented many spiritual cheries at that time. It is not a creative Buddha.
“There is power at the beginning”
It is. It wasn’t originally named.
Did the flexible work of the rescue power make many people think of Maheshvara?
I don’t know. And it was closer than Mahesh Zuara. They will “watch” each one and rescue them freely. Thus, the faith of Avaroke Kiteshvara is believed to
It was spread across all India and across Asia, representing Kenryu.
