るならば、それならあなたはどうしてそういう顔をしているのであるかと聞かれた場合、

あなたは何と答えるか？　こういう顔をして生れてきたのだから、こういう顔をしている

のである、とでも答えるはかないではないか。原因はともあれ、人間は、それぞれ様々な

因縁を持って生れて来、様々な因縁を持って生きているのである。その因縁という現象を

分析、解説してみよう。理屈は抜きにして、一読するならば、必ず、思いあたることがあ

ろう。卵が先に生じたのか、鶏が先に生じたのか、それを知らなくても、卵を食べ、鶏肉

を賞味するにはこと欠かぬのである。詳しくはあとの方で説明する。ここでは、まず、人

間が誰でも持っている「因縁」の種類についてのべよう。

　　　　　　かうんすいたい

０　　家運衰退の因縁

　この因縁は、家運、つまり家の運気が次第におとろえてきている家系に生まれている人

が持つ因縁である。

　こういう人は、父、あるいは祖父の代までは、かなりの生活をした家に生れている人が

多い。祖父か父の代あたりから、次第に家運が傾いてきている。そうして、自分の代にな

ってからぱ、なお一層はっきりと運が悪くなっている。相当の力量、才能、手腕があるの

だが、それを発揮する場を持つことが出来ない。そういうチャンスを持つことが出来ない。

そうして、自分よりも劣った者が追い越してゆくのを、みすみす歯ぎしりしながら見送る

ことになる。

　たまにチャンスがめぐって来そうになると、人の妨害、邪魔に遭ったり、或いは自分の

思わぬミスや病気などで、せっかくのチャンスを失ってしまう。要するに、一言でいうと

運が悪いのである。実力がありながら、妙にめぐり合わせが悪く、ウダツがあがらない。

年をとるほど運気がおとろえ、生活が悪くなっていく。

の因縁から出てくるのが、次に掲げる

　　　　　ちゅうと　ざせつ

＠　　　中途挫折の因縁

　という因縁である。

　この因縁を持つ人は、何をやっても、一応、七、八分通りまでは順調に進むが、あとも

うＩ、二分というところで必ずダメになる。決して実らないのである。この因縁を、一

名、「虚花の命」というのは、「七重八重、花は咲けども山吹の、実のひとつだになきぞ悲

しき」という古歌の山吹の花と同様、花咲けども実らず、すべてムダ花であるというとこ

ろからきているのである。よそ目には華やかに見えて、内実は空しいのである。苦労した

あげく、さいごの収穫はごっそりと人に持ってゆかれてしまう。

　この因縁を持つ人は、わりあい運気（生命力）の強い人が多く、中途で挫折しては、ま

た立ち上って仕事をし、また七、八分通りで挫折して、そのままになるかと思うとまた立

ち上って、また挫折する、というように、七転八起の起伏のはげしい人生を送る人が多い。

そうして、結局は、挫折したままで終るのである。

　大体、因縁のあらわれ方には二通りあるのであって、その囚縁が、そのままその人の恍

格にあらわれている場合と、性格には全然あらわれない場合とがある。

　この中途挫折の因縁の場合も、この因縁がそのまま性格にあらわれて、非常に気の弱い

意志薄弱の型と、逆に、非常に気のつよい意志強固の型がある。

　意志薄弱のタイプは、何をやってもすぐにあきてしまって、ながつづきしない。気うつ

りがぱげしい。学業、職業、すべてがそうで、転々とする。文字通りの中途挫折、薄志弱

行の型である。

　もう一つのほうは、これと全く反対で、性格もつよく、意志も強固で、努力家でもある。

然るに、かえってその強さが人と相容れず、上の者と衝突したり、同僚と円満に協調出来

なかったりして、失敗し、挫折する。あるいは、ここ一番という大事なところで、きまっ

てつまらぬミスをしたり、人の誤解をうけたり、妨害をうけたりする。また、病気や怪我

などで手違いが生ずる、というように、必ずなにかしら障害が発生して、チャンスをつぶ

すのである。

　先日、わたくしを訪ねて来た人に、そういう人がめった。

　四十七、八歳の会社員で、立派な人物であったが、この人に、この因縁があったのであ

る。聞いてみると、今までに八回も勤め先を変えているという。意志強固の努力家型だが、

と思って聞いてみると、この人は、一流の財閥会社に勤めているのだが、系列の子会社に

出向させられると、その会社は、きまって、他に合併したり、業績不振で閉鎖させられて

しまうのである。本社にもどると、同期の社員で本社に居たままの者はかなり上の方に進

んでおり、処遇に困るので、また傍系の会社に出向重役として出される。するとまた、そ

の会社がおかしくなる、というわけで、今までがその繰り返しだったというのだ。

　念のためにいうが、それは、この人の経営の腕が悪いために、この人が行った会社がみ

んなダメになるというのではないのである（手腕という点からいえば、むしろ人並み以上

の手腕を持っているのである）。この人が行っても行かなくても、その会社はダメになるの

である。そういう会社に、この人は行かねばならぬような廻り合わせになってしまうのだ。

今度の会社もおかしくなってきているので、相談に来たのです、というのだが、典型的な

中途挫折の因縁のあらわれかたであった。

　薄志弱行タイプの場合は、すぐにあきたり、気移りしたりして白分から会社を転々とす

るが、意志強固タイプの場合は、自分でぱ一心に努力をして会社を変わるつもりはさらさ

らないのだが、他動的に転々と変わらざるを得ないようになってしまうのである。その人

のか字心、思劣、心構えなどに関係なく、結果は結尚おなじことになが、

因縁というものの、こわいところである。精神一到何小か成さざ‘ら人や、と気胆劣てみた

ところで、この因縁を持っていては、所詮、ダメなのだ。外的条件が許さないのである。

つねに転々として挫折する。

　昔から、よく、「人間には誰でも一生に三度はチャンスがある」といわれているが、運のないでも三度はチャンスがあるかわり、運のある者でも、三度以上そう何回もあるもの

ではない。人生ここ一番というチャンスを二、三度この因縁でつぶされてしまったら、も

うその人間は一生芽が出ないものと思わねばなるまい。そうして、この因縁のこわいとこ

ろは、この因縁は必ずその子に遺伝し、その場合、きまって親よりその子のほうが一段と

因縁の度を深めて悪くなってゆくことにあるのだ。

　この中途挫折の因縁が、そのようにして一段と強くなった場合、

運気不定・浮沈の因縁

という因縁になる。

　これは、運気に根が生じないので、そのため、浮沈変転してとどまらないのである。

　いわば、根無し草の人生である。居住、職業が定まらず、転々とする。一時的に幸運を

得ることがあっても、永続しない。一生、ホームレスか、それに近い境界となる。

　女性の場合、ちゃんとした結婚生活をつづけることが出来ない。再婚、三婚し、しかし

いくら結婚を繰り返しても、決して安定した夫婦生活を持つことは出来ない。

　「色情の因縁」のある場合は、不倫の関係に陥ったり、あるいは売春をする悲惨な因縁で

ある。

ｏ　　肉親血縁相剋の因縁

　これも、根本は、家運衰退の因縁から出てきているものである。

　この因縁は、肉親の者同士、血縁の者同士が、たがいに運気生命力を損ねあい、傷つけ

あって分散してゆくのである。

　毛利元就の「三本の矢」の教訓を逆にいって、おたがいに助けあい、協力しあってゆく

べき肉親血縁の者が、離散し、孤立して、次第に没落してゆく。

　まさに、家運衰退のあらわれである。

この因縁があると、同居している親子、兄弟など、血縁の噺が、年中不和で詐が絶えな

い。これは、血縁の者同士でお互いの運気（生命力）を損ねあい、傷つけあっているので、

無意識のうちに反発しあって争うのである。この場合、運気を傷つけあうといっても、必

ずしも表面立って争いをするとは限らない。ただ同じ屋根の下に住んでいるというだけで、

相手の運気（生命力）を損ねるのである。それはちょうど、何か目に見えない光線のよう

なものを放射しあって、相手の生命力を傷つけるように思われる。人間の生命というもの

は、自分を守るという自衛本能を持っているから、その本能がはたらいて、無意識のうち

に生命力を結集して相手に反発する。その結果として、相手の何でもないような動作や一

言一句が非常に気にさわる（神経が立っているので）。そこで静が始まるのである。肉親同

士で異常に仲が悪いのぱこのためである。それに加えて財産などの利害関係がからむと、

非常に深刻な争いに進展してゆく。

　この因縁のある家庭で、もし、同居の肉親同士が不和でなければ、家族の中に誰か一人、年中病気で苦しむ者か、極端に不運で運の開かぬ不遇の者が必ず出る。

　相当の才能、手腕がありながら、常にチャンスを逸したり、チャンスに恵まれない不遇

の人、あるいは長年病弱の人は、前記の「中途挫折の因縁」か、または、この「肉親血縁

相剋の因縁」によって運気（生命力）を剋害されているのではないかを疑ってみるべきで

ある。どちらかの因縁があったら、それを断ち切らぬ限り、いくら努力しても一生空転す

るばかりなのだ。

　この因縁を持つ人、（あるいはこの因縁のある家系）には、必ず、といっていいほど、霊

的な障害がある。つまり、三代か四代前に、その家（またぱ人）を強く恨んで亡くなった

怨念のホトヶがいるのである。

　また、横変死した人の霊障を受けている場食がほとんどである。

　前に述べた「家運衰退の因縁」、「中途挫折の因縁」、「運気不定・浮沈の因縁」は、いず

れも霊障のホトヶより生じていることが多い。

　この霊障を解かぬかぎり、この因縁は、何代でもつづく。

　成仏法によって、霊障のホトヶを解脱成仏させる以外に方法がないのである。
