この章について、佐保田鶴治博士は、トーン・外ん小胴輪。というのは、実際の癖の孔ではなくて、そのあたりにあると想像される神秘な車輪状の場所で、一六の輻をもっているといわれる。一説には、後世のハタ・ヨーガで説く六つのチャクラのなかの下から三つ目にあるマニプーラ・チャクラ (Manipira-cakra)のことであるともいう。いずれにせよ、肉眼で見える部分ではなく、幽体に属するものとされている。チャクラについては、ここで詳説する暇がない。臍輪は気体(生命エネルギーからなる身体)の中央にあるから、これに綜制をおこなうと身体内の組織がわかる、というのである」(『解説ヨーガ・スートラ』平河出版社)

すなわち、ここから出る神経は、食道、胃、腹部血管、肝、輸胆管、膵臓、副腎、腸等に分布している。また、この神経叢は大小内臓神経、迷走神経、第十二胸神経節、第一腰神経節などが集まっており、内臓の神経としては最も重要な 叢 である。チャクラというのは、いずれも、今まで、空想的、神秘的場所とのみ考えられてきた。

これらの部位は、決してそういうものではなく、さきに述べたように、内分泌腺、神経群、酵素などに深い関係があり、実際に、医学的見地からみても非常に重要な場所であり、大切なはたらきをする場所であるのである。

「Samyama を向ければ、体内の組織を知ることができる」とあるが、この Samyam-a というのは、特別な修行を経た特殊な集中力をいう。あとでくわしく説明するが、
この組織を知る、というのは、単に組織を知るだけではなく、組織を自由にコントロ
コールすることができるという意味である。実際にこのナービ・チャクラに Samyamaを集中すると、この太陽神経叢に属する内臓器官――それは食道から、胃、肝臓、膵臓、脾臓、副腎、腸にいたるまで、すべてを自分の思うようにコントロールできるのである。これらの臓器官が、どうにかすぎいい、いしでいいようであれば直ちに正常にもどしてしまう、いいわ、調べ、ごャード網駅、威、強滅、いった、キャラバに活動すると、他い通い力がたらいいてきて、個人、いいにいようにするようになると同時に、他人の心を目いていて、目に思い、単品、枠、主とすると心も交流するこきれいさに、下町な、理解できいことなど大地にみちすごい、、、チャーボードにしてそこかいことができる。つまり、人にはないで、、、持っていたい、エネルギーはこの空間に痕跡をとどれているので、このチャンスで、、、茨と同じになれば、その心が持っていたべてのもの、意識も、知能もみな自分と同化して自分のものになるということである。

そういう意味で、このチャクラに十分熟達すると、霊界(四次元)の世界との交流の道がひらけるのである。

〇〇〇キロヘルツの振動波しか聞くことができないが、このチャクラを修得すると、その倍以上に聴覚の幅がひろがるということである。一〇〇メートルはなれて人の心

また、いろいろな声を聞く。主導霊の声をはっきり耳にするようになる。
ヨーガ・スートラにある「あらゆる生きものの叫び声の意味がわかる」という能力もこれである。仏教の天耳通である。
また、このチャクラは、頭部、上肢(両腕)及び胸部の筋肉運動に深い関係を持つ。

6=アージュニャー・チャクラ

このチャクラは、また、命令のチャクラ、願望成就のチャクラ、自在力のチャクラともいわれ、熟達すると、自然に対して命令しこれを自在に動かし、自由に支配することができるようになる

7サハスラーラ・チャクラ

松果腺・松果体・視床下部の部位である。

頭のなかの光明 Mirdha jyotis といわれるチャクラである。Brahma-randhra 梵の座、先の裂け目という頭蓋骨の接合するところの真下に位置する。梵の座、梵の裂け目とは、梵すなわち聖なるもの、と一体になる場所という意味である。

このチャクラを目ざめさせると、この部位に光明があらわれて、燦然とかがやく。頭のなかの光明である。

このチャクラはすべてのチャクラを統合してこれを自由に制御する。すべてのチャクラを自由に制御することができるようになると、彼は次第に変身する。クンダリニー・ヨーガでは、これを聖なるものと一体になる、と形容する。このチャクラに、聖霊が宿り、聖霊と交流するようになるといっている。このチャクラを完成した修行者を、超人、大師、救済者と呼ぶ。越人は物質世界を超越し、時間と空間の制限を受けなくなる。インドでは、仏陀が超人であるとして、このチャクラの完成者であることを、形を以て示している。それは、仏像の頭頂がまるで帽子でもかぶったように大きく盛り上がっており、これを「肉習」と呼ぶ。サハスラーラ・チャクラの修行が完成して頭骨がこのように発達していることを示すのである。

以上が、クンダリニー・ヨーガの奥儀として伝えられるものである。

人格と性格

人格とはいったい、なんであろうか。

Personality (人格)ということばと、 Character (性格)ということばがある。 この二つのこ とばは、ほとんど同意語として使われている。

性格ということばは、ギリシア語の彫刻を意味することばから出たもので、つまり、性格 とは刻みつけられたものを意味する。したがって、性格も人格も、ほとんどおなじものをさ しているといっていいが、おもしろいことに、主として、ヨーロッパの心理学者は「性格」 を用い、アメリカの心理学者は「人格」を用いる傾向があるという。

この両者を区別するとすれば、「人格」ということばが個人の全人的個性的特徴を意味する のにたいし、「性格」は、そこから知的側面の特徴が除かれて、情意的側面、とくに意志的側 面の特徴を示すことばとして用いられることが多いようである。

感情的側面の特徴は先天的に決定される場合が多く、これにたいしては「気質」というこ とばが使われるが、「気質」は性格の基底層をなすと考えられているので、ここでは、気質も

性格の中に入れて論ずることにする。

要約すると、「人格」とは「全人的なもの」を示し、「性格」とはその基底をなすものと考 えたらよいであろう。

「性格」について、ある心理学者はつぎのようにいっている。

「性格とはなにか。むずかしい理論はさておいて、けっきょく性格とは、その人の素質と環 境からできあがったもので、その人らしさ”と、“その人の行動特徴〟ということになりま す」

いかにもわかりやすい説明である。

すこしむずかしく、学問的にいうと、性格は、対象的には「人間の示す特性的全体像」 (そ の人らしさ)であり、機能的にみれば「その環境に独自の適応を示す、個人の力動的な体制」 その人の行動特徴)である。

また、構造的な面からみれば、「人間の感情的素質と意志的素質からなる」その人らしさ) ものである。

発生論的な立場からは、「素質と環境」との密接な相互作用によって形成されるものである。 またそれを社会的存在としての立場からみれば、「個人心理的概念ではなくて、むしろ、 社会 超人になるための基礎人格のつくり方

以上の立場が、現代における「性格」の一般的な定説であると考えられる。

この、人間の性格には、さまざまなタイプがあり、その類型を最初に論じた人は、ギリシ アの哲学者テオフラストス(前三七二~二八八頃)である。

以来、近世にいたるまで、さまざまな類型論が発表されている。 その中で、現代ドイツの 精神医学者K・シュナイダーの「精神病質類型」が傑出していると思われる。

シュナイダーのいうところは、その性格の素質からみちびかれる類型であって、つぎの一 ○種類の精神病質類型を立てている。

かれは、精神病質といっているが、かならずしも精神病患者と限らず、この類型は、人間 の性格の分類について、はなはだ参考になるものであると思われる。

それを、つぎにあげよう。

発揚型 豪快な気分が根本特徴である。 楽天的で落ち着きがなく活発で、突出的で ある。 軽率で意志が不定であったり、喧嘩・口論が好きであったり、自慢・虚言の傾向 を示したりする。

型発型と反対に憂うつな気分が支配的である。 厭世的で苦労性である。こ の中にも、情にもろい、温良な、内気な、気力のない憂愁型、不平不満の多い、刺戟的 な不機嫌型、邪推深い、 曲解し易い偏執型の三つの型に分けられる。

自信欠乏型自信のない小心、内気な型である。一方では良心的で義務観念が強い 些細なことをくよくよとせんさくする。度々いろいろの強迫観念に悩む。 あるいは 邪推曲解し易い傾向を持つ。

四狂信型 何等かの観念にこり固まって、その主義主張を通す。 そのためあくまで 闘争を繰り返す闘争型 (好訴型)と空想的・突飛・現実離れの仕方で主張する奇矯型(奇 人・狂信者)がある。
