Spiritual Baptism—A Disciple’s Story

That night, a young man climbed the stone steps of a mountain temple alone.
The moon was white, the wind was cold, and the flickering lamp cast a long shadow.
“Is there a truly spiritual master in this world?” This question had been lingering for years.

He had trained as a believer. He recited sutras, pledged compassion, and meditated repeatedly.
But one night, he realized something.
— His prayers still lacked “light.”
Something burning deep within his heart was missing.

Then he heard a rumor.
“Deep in the mountains lies a true guru.”
It is said that those who receive his gaze will instantly clear the murky waters of their hearts, and a lightning will flash through the depths of their souls.

He crossed mountains and valleys, searching alone for his master.
Then one day, in the fog, he met that person.

Dressed in white, he was a person who exuded light in his silence.

“What did you come here for?”

— Not a voice. A question that resonated deep in his heart.

The young man answered.
“I want to see the truth. I want to break free from the cycle of worldly desires and delusions.”

The teacher simply smiled and closed his eyes.

And the next moment, she opened them.

The moment those eyes fixed on him,
the world stopped, and time disappeared.

A hot light pierced the depths of his chest.

Tears ran down his cheeks. Something broke, and something was born.

At that moment, he definitely felt it.
— His guru’s heart flowing into him.

It was something he could not put into words, and could not explain.

Simply, through his teacher’s gaze, immeasurable compassion pierced his soul.

His teacher was a Buddha in various forms, and like a mother nurturing the Buddha of the future.
To his disciple, she was the center of the universe, more precious than anything else.

“The time has come for you to end your long journey of reincarnation.”
The teacher’s voice echoed, melting away in the wind.

No matter how many Buddhas had tried to guide him in the past,
he was unable to respond.
But now, at last, a connection with his teacher had been made.

–A guru is a channel that connects disciple and Buddha.
Through this channel, the Buddha’s spirituality and light flowed into the disciple’s heart.

The young man quietly clasped his hands together.
Light burned in his palms, eventually filling his entire body.
It was a spiritual baptism — a path of sensitivity, an awakening through the power of love.

The teacher said. “All techniques exist for this moment.
The final door opens when your heart and your teacher’s become one.”

The young man’s heart cried, smiled, and then fell silent.

In the distance of the night sky, the stars twinkled as if in prayer.
