そういうと、人類が二つの対立を示すのは、なにも未来社会にかぎったことではなく、いまだってそうではないかと、いくつかの例をあげる人がいるかも知れない。
たしかに、それは、有色人種と白色人種、自由社会と共産圏社会、富める者と貧しき者、支配
する者とされる者、と、いくつか、かぞえることができるだろう。
だが、ちがうのだ。
そういう分類とはまったく異質の区分が、ごく近い将来、われわれの世界にあらわれようとしている。そういう動きが、すでに現在おこりつつある。
それは、二つのヒト属である。
あたらしい人類とふるい人類．
ひとつは普通の現代人、ホモーサピエンスＨｏｍｏ ｓａｐｉｅｎｓである。これがふるい人類だ。
もうひとつは、特殊な能力を身につけた未来人、ホモーエクセレンスＨｏｍｏ ｅχｃｅｌｌｅｎｓ であ
る。つまりあたらしい人類だ。
ホモ・廿ピエンスとは、ほかならぬわれわれ自身のことであるが、ホモーエクセレッスとは、
どういうヒトか？
ホモーエクセレンスとは、ホモーサピエンスが持だない特別な能力を身につけた「優秀なるヒト」という意味である。ある人たちは、この未来人に、ホモーイッテリダンス（聡明なるヒト）と
いう名をつけている。
では、この優秀なる未来人、ホモーエクセレンスは、どういう特殊な能力を持っているのか？
彼の持ついくつかの特長をあげてみよう。

ス学士院宣を受けた。自己の専門分野の研究に多くの業績をあげているばかりでなく、若い研究
者の育成にも心をそそぎ、フランス人類学の名実ともにすぐれた指導者である”と記されている。
まさに、当代一流の科学者であるといわねばならない。
