カーツワイル博士の未来年表

そんな博士、2013年の段階で2038年までの未来予測をしていまして、今日はそれをかいつまみながら、博士の頭の中を覗いてみようと思います。

年代ごとに区切ってみていきます。元の年表はもう少し細かい年表ですが、そこは時期があっているか、ということより、どんなことがありそうか、という視点でざっくりと、ということで。

2020〜2025年の世界

・5Gネットワークが世界中の携帯電話に10〜100GBの通信スピードを開放する
・AIベースの医療診断とセラピーの助言が、米国の主要な医療機関で利用される
・空飛ぶクルマの運転が世界の中のいくつかの都市ではじまる
・合法的に全米を自動運転によって移動できるようになる
・ロボットは中産階級の家庭に当たり前のように設置され、唇の動きや顔、口、手のジェスチャーをかなりの精度をもって理解できるようになる
・ドローンが1日に1000万機くらい飛ぶ。マンションの屋上に荷物を届け、待機しているロボットが玄関の前まで持っていく
・世界の9割の国で火力発電所より、太陽光・風力発電所のほうが割安になる
・炭素排出量がピークを超えたことが見えるようになる

AIが染み渡り、自動運転、ドローンが当たり前になってきます。ドドルあおけんとしては、ドローンがもたらすロジスティクスの効率化というところはとても興味があります。

また、SDGｓの要であるエネルギー問題が自然エネルギーにシフトして改善に向かう流れの予測は、希望を見い出すのが難しいこの世界に刺す一筋の光ですね。

2026〜2030年の世界

・クルマを所有しなくなり、道路を走るのはすべて自動運転車になる
・LA、東京、サンパウロ、ロンドンなど大都市では、毎日10万人の人々が垂直離着陸機で通勤するようになる
・VRがいたるところで存在。子どもたちが常に別の世界に行ってしまっていることに親は不満をもつようになる。VRによって観光名所に行った気になるため、つかれる旅行を避けるようになり、旅行が減り始める。
・太陽光と風力は新しい電気発電において100％近くを占める
・ロボットはヒトと本当の関係性をもつ。老齢介護やパーソナルケア、食事の用意などの分野で特にその傾向が強く出る。セックスロボットも普及する。

VRとロボットの普及でリアルな場所、リアルなヒトである必要がだんだんなくなっていきそうです。セックスロボットまで普及しちゃうと、面倒な人間関係を避けて一気に出生率は低下しちゃいそうですね。

2031〜2038年の世界

・AIが人間の知能と同等かそれ以上になってくる
・人類は富裕層の寿命回避速度に達する（たぶんお金があればテクノロジーの力で寿命をがんがん伸ばせるってことなんだと思います）
・医療用ナノロボットが人体の中で実証され、免疫系を拡張することができるようになる
・すべてのヒトが意識をアバターロボットを使って世界中の遠隔地へテレポートさせることができるようになる
・多くの超困難な問題（例えば癌や貧困）は解決する

困難がなくなり、寿命が長くなる。いいことですね。苦しくてもあと15年、20年がんばって生き抜けば、ユートピアになるから、がんばって、という博士の人類に対するエールのようにも思えます。

1――ポストコロナにおける大きな潮流は「ＧＡＦＡの次に来るもの」の模索

新型コロナウイルス感染拡大の収束に依然目途が立たない中、コロナショックを契機として私たちの生活や働き方が変化している。

例えば、厚生労働省は、新型コロナウイルスを想定した「新しい生活様式」の実践例を示し、ショッピング、食事、娯楽・スポーツなどの日常生活、勤務形態や会議といった働き方について新しいスタイルを提唱する。また、「Withコロナ」に対応するために採用したリモートワークを、ポストコロナでも恒久化するという企業も出てきている。

コロナショックはどのように世界を変えてしまうのだろうか。この問題意識に対して、筆者が考える方向性の一つは、コロナショック以前から顕在化し始めていた本質的な変化がそのスピードを加速度的に高め、ポストコロナにおいて大きな潮流になる、ということである。では、本質的な変化とは何か。筆者は、それは「ＧＡＦＡの次に来るもの」と交差してくるのではないかと考えている。

コロナショック以前に起きていたこととして、まず指摘すべきが「プラットフォーマー資本主義」である。米国のＧＡＦＡ（グーグル、アップル、フェイスブック、アマゾン）や中国のＢＡＴＨ（バイドゥ、アリババ、テンセント、ファーウェイ）といったプラットフォーマー企業が覇権を握っていた。彼らは私たち消費者にとっては優れたサービスの提供者であり続け、各産業において破壊的ともいえる影響力を持つに至っている。「Withコロナ」でも彼らプラットフォーマー企業はデジタル・テクノロジーを利活用し様々な対策・施策を打ち出すことで、コロナショックをテクノロジーの社会実装の機会へと転じるとともに、業績を伸ばしている。

しかしその反面、批判が高まっていることも事実である。例えば、データ独占が競争を阻害する問題やプライバシー漏洩問題にかかわる批判が主に挙げられる。筆者自身、ＧＡＦＡがリードする米国式のデジタル資本主義、そして「株式会社中国」による中国式のデジタル資本主義が物質的な豊かさを求めるあまり、損なわれているものがあるのも確かと考えている。そうであるならば、もともとの長所を活かしながら、ＧＡＦＡの次、「株式会社中国」の次が模索されるべきであろう。

まさに、当代一流の科学者であるといわねばならない。
その科学者が未来人ホモーエクセレンスの出現を、このように予告しているのである。
