夕映えの森に　比丘らは座す
静けさに満ちて　師の声を待つ
やさしきまなざし　沈黙のあと
光はことばとなり　胸に響く

修めよ　念と道　心の力
ただ願うだけでは　自由は来ず
執着の綱は　少しずつ断たれ

In the glow of dusk, the monks take their seats,
In silence they wait for the voice of their teacher.
With gentle gaze, after a pause of stillness,
His words shine forth, echoing in their hearts.

Cultivate mindfulness, the path, the power within.
Mere wishing alone will never bring freedom.
The cords of attachment are slowly undone,
And the ship sails forth into the sea of release.

応説経（物語風の話）

ある時、世尊は拘留国の牧牛の村に滞在しておられた。
日が傾き、木々の影が長く伸びるころ、比丘たちが集まり、静かに座して仏の声を待っていた。

仏はしばらく沈黙し、弟子たちを見まわしてから、穏やかに語り始められた。

「比丘たちよ。
わたしは正しい知恵によって、すべての煩悩を断ち切り、解脱を得た。
無知によってではなく、知見によってである。

では、どうして知見によって漏尽を得ることができるのか。
それは、色をあるがままに知り、その生起と滅びを観じ、
受・想・行・識もまた、その生起と滅びを観じるからである。

比丘たちよ。
ただ『解脱したい、煩悩をなくしたい』と願うだけでは、何も成し遂げられない。
念処・正勤・如意足・根・力・覚・道を修めなければならない。
そうでなければ、解脱には至れない。

譬えて言おう。
母鳥が卵を抱いても、ときに応じて温めたり冷ましたりしなければ、
雛は自ら殻を破って出てくることはできない。
比丘も同じである。修行を怠っては、解脱を得ることはできないのだ。

だが、もし比丘がよく修行し、心を整え、努め励むならば、
たとえ『解脱したい』と願わずとも、煩悩は自然に尽き、心は自由になる。

比丘たちよ。
木工が斧を使い続けると、斧の柄は少しずつ削られていく。
その減っていく瞬間はわからなくとも、やがて柄が尽きたことに気づく。
修行もまた同じである。
日々の努力によって、気づかぬうちに煩悩は尽き、やがて解脱を知るのである。

また、大きな船もそうだ。
海辺につながれていても、綱が少しずつ切れていけば、やがて自由に海へと出てゆく。
比丘の心もまた、執着の綱が少しずつ断たれていくならば、自由へと至るのだ。

だからこそ、比丘たちよ。
一切の結びつきと煩悩を断ち、漏れ出る煩悩を起こさぬために、
念処・正勤・如意足・根・力・覚・道を修習しなさい。」

仏がそう語り終えられた時、集まっていた六十人の比丘が、その場で煩悩を断ち、心の解脱を得た。
弟子たちは皆、歓喜し、師の言葉を心から受け入れたのであった。

受け入れの秘儀
The Rite of Acceptance

On mo shutta mani juntei abara jita tani tei sowaka

輪廻を渡り　辿り着いた
無量の慈悲　光の中へ
影に曇れど　いま開かれる
師のまなざし　魂を射抜く

On mo shutta mani juntei abara jita tani tei sowaka

受け入れの秘儀　ここに結ばれ
第三の眼に　炎が灯る
仏陀の流れ　心に滔々と
一なる道を　ともに歩もう

On mo shutta mani juntei abara jita tani tei sowaka

Across the cycles, I have come ashore
Into the light of boundless compassion
Though shadows veiled me, the gate now opens
The master’s gaze pierces through my soul

The sacred rite of acceptance is sealed
A flame is lit within the third eye
The Buddha’s current flows into my heart
Together we walk the one eternal path

Spiritual Realm

夜の山寺　灯火揺れて
師の声は　鐘のように落ち
因縁の網に　縛られたまま
弟子の胸に　影が震える

カルマを超えて　光は昇る
間脳の扉　今ひらかれる
反重力の魂よ　空へ翔べ
オーラの炎で　新たに生まれよ

In the mountain temple, lanterns sway at night
The master’s voice falls, like a solemn bell
Entangled in the net of endless fate
The disciple trembles, his heart in shadow

Beyond the karma, the light shall rise
The door of the midbrain now opens wide
Gravity-defying soul, ascend to the sky
Born anew in the aura’s flame of life
