大舶の譬喩 応説経より
The Parable of the Great Ship – from the Sutra
藤づる揺れる 岸辺の舟よ
The vine cords sway on the boat by the shore,
金の袈裟に 海光が踊る
Sea-light dances on the golden robe.
胸の奥 結び目ひとつ
A single knot rests deep in the heart;
解けば彼岸の風が吹く
Unbind it, and the wind of the Other Shore will blow.
On mo shutta mani juntei abara jita tani tei sowaka
嵐を越えて 沖へ漕ぎ出す
Beyond the storm, we row into the open sea;
心の綱は もうほどけている
The rope of the heart has already come undone.
水平線の 光を抱き
We embrace the light on the horizon,
今 すべてがひとつになる
And now, all things become as one.
