運命学だけでも、人間は決定されるものではありません。

というのは、人間は、本来もって生まれた先天的なものと環境のもとで培った、後天的なものとの組み合わせだからです。

　もう間もなくやって来る未来社会で、人類は二つの種属にわかれるだろう。

　それは、二つの民族でもないし、二つの階級でもない。二つの種属である。

　そうして、その二つの種属は、しばらくのあいだ共存するけれども、間もな

くその一方はおとろえ、急速にこの世界からすがたを消して行くだろう。

あらわれようとしている。そういう動きが、すでに現在起ころうとしている。

　それは、二つのヒト属である。

　あたらしい人類とふるい人類１‐－。

　ひとつは普通の現代人、ホモーサピエンス（’｛ｏ∃ｏ－ＳＳＱｌ｝である。これ

がふるい人類だ。

　もうひとつは、特殊な能力－バランスのとれた高度の脳を待った未来人、

ホモーエクセレンス｛｝｛ｏ日ｏ－ａｌＦＳ｝である。つまり、新しい人類だ。

　ホモーエクセレンスとは、ホモーサピエンスが持だない特別な能力を身につ

けた「優秀なるヒト」という意味である。ある人たちは、この未来人に、ホ

モーインテリゲンス（聡明なるヒト）という名をつけている。

　では、この優秀なる未来人、ホモーエクセレンスは、どういう特殊な能力を

持っているのか？　かれの持ついくつかの特長をあげてみよう。

　オリヴィエ教授は、出版社の紹介文によると、。パリ大学理学部人類学教授

であり、人類学、解剖学のかず多い論文のほかにいくつかの著書を持ち、その

中でも『人類学的解剖学』はフランス学士院宣を受けた。自己の専門分野の研

究に多くの業績をあげているばかりでなく、若い研究者の育成にも心をそそぎ、

フランス人類学の名実ともにすぐれた指導者である”と記されている。

　まさに、当代一流の科学者であるといわねばならない。

　その科学者が、未来人ホモーエクセレンスの出現を、このように予告してい

るのである。

　著者が、なんの根拠も持たず、ただいたずらに鬼面ひとをおどろかす筆を弄

しているのではないのだ。それはかならずやって来る。

　ではＩ、そのホモーエクセレンスは、いったいどこから、いつ、やって来

モンゴロイド（中国）、ネグロイド（アフリカ）、コーカソイド（ヨーロッパ）と

いうあたらしい現世人類の種の中にあわただしく消滅してしまった。これは、

歴史のごく表面にあらわれているだけの事実で、このほかにも、いくつかの知

られざるヒト・属、あるいはその分枝が、無数にあらわれ、歴史をつくる間も

なく消滅していったと考える学者はかず多い。

　ある著名な学者は、ひとつの種の寿命はＩ〇〇万年だと語り、ホモーサピエ

ンスは出現以来、間もなくこの年齢に達するはずだという。そうして、オリヴ

ィエ教授もまた、「いま、われわれが、われわれの後継者である次の人類のこ

とを考えるのは、まったく筋みちの立ったことである」といっているのだ。

　だがＩ、それではいったいその新しいヒトは、いつあらわれるのか？　一

○○年先？　二〇〇年？　それとも１０００年？

　それについて、オリヴィエ教授は、はっきりとした時期を明言しない。ただ

　　「未来のヒトは間もなく不意に来ることになる」

　また、どのようにして出現するかも明言しない。ただ。進化の上に立って必

ず出現する”というのみである。

　だいたい、ホモーサピエンスの次の人類なんて、それはちょうどあの太陽が

ホモーエクセレンスの資格

　　間的に分析し、推理し、理解して、本質を把握してしまう演鐸と帰納の力。

　　　それは、ヒトの平均知能をＩ・〇とするならば、おそらく、二・五から

　　三・五に達するであろう。このグループの最高の頭脳は、やすやすと四次

　元を理解する。

二、感覚器官の増幅－―かれは、不可視光線（赤外線・紫外線）を見ること

　が出来、超音波を聞くことが出来る。そしてその超常感覚と高度の知能の

　結合から来る予知力。それらは、自分の肉体を思うままに統御する能力か

　ら来る。

三、環境の制御と創造－－思うままに自分を変え、他人を動かし、集団や環

　境を、自分の理念の通りに創造して行く。

四、物質を超え、物質を自由に統御する力。

五、輝くばかりの霊性にあふれた特殊な個性。そこから生ずる無限に発達

　した道徳意識。

　　少し敏感な人にはすぐに感じられる霊光にふちどられた崇高な顔立ち、

　かれに接しただけで、人は崇敬の念をいだく。

以上、これがヒトを改造する超技術のあたえる能力である。

これを、前の項でのべたオリヴィエ教授の未来人、ホモーエクセレンスの持

つ能力とくらべてみたらどうであろうか？

　それはおどろくほど酷似している。

　しかし、また全く違うところもある。それは、五である。この、五の能力こ

そ、ホモーサピエンスに欠けている最も大切な資質であったのだ。ホモーエク

セレンスは、進化の過程の或る一点で、これを失ったため、人類は破滅の道を

歩むようになったのである。しかし、本来、ヒトはこれを持っていたのである。

この人間改造の技術の特徴は、この五の資質の回復であった。他の四つの能力

は、この回復の訓練の間に、おのずと生ずる能力なのである。

もう一つの脳があった

人類は、これまで三つの脳を使ってきた。

古皮質、旧皮質、新皮質、である。

　生理学者、ペイプス～マクリーンは、これについて、こう論じている。

　「人類は苦悩している。自然は人類に三つの脳を授けたが、それらは構造が

　これまでの大脳生理学ほまちかっていたのだ。すくなくとも大きな見落とし

を一つしていたのだ。

止めてしまった。そのため、その脳は萎縮し退化してしまって、その機能を失

ってしまったのである。

　この超・ヒトをつくる技術とは、その退化し、失われたものを取り返す技術

である。これから人類が進化してはじめて持つものではないのである。このこ

　ホモーサピエンスの知能がっくり出した文明は極限に達した。もしもこの世

界が生き残ろうと望むなら、新たな文明が生まれ出なければならない。ホモー

サピエンスの生み出したものはすべて、科学も技術も芸術も、宗教さえも限界

に達した。倫理も道徳も崩壊した。古い人類は必死に古い文明にしがみついて

いるけれども、これらはすべて過去の世界のものになった。

　限界に達した生物がさいごにえらぶ道は「集団自殺」である。いま、その集

団自殺が地上に展開している。核と環境汚染、麻薬とエイズ、戦乱ｊ‐－すべて
