仏陀釈尊の成仏法による先祖供養は、二つの法から成っています。
一、解脱供養法
二、冥徳供養法
一、解脱供養法
解脱供養法は、つよい怨念（おんねん）を持つ霊障のホトケを、完全解脱させる法であり、「解脱成仏法」ともいいます。
つよい怨念を持つ霊障のホトケは、子孫に非常な悪影響をあたえる。
こういう先祖の霊を霊視してさがし出し、良い戒名をつけてあげて、導師が成仏法を修するのである。
霊障のホトケのいる家庭には、必ず、つよい「肉親血縁相尅（にくしんけつえんそうこく）の因縁」が生じて、家族の間に、いつも争いが絶えないことになります。あたたかい会話などほとんど交わされず、親子、兄弟、夫婦が、いつもいらいらしていて、ちょっとしたことで罵（ののし）り合い、どなり合う。つかみ合いのけんかが始まる。というように、争いが絶えません。この因縁は地獄界に属する因縁だから、家庭が地獄になってしまうのです。
また、霊障のある家庭は、つよい「家運衰退（かうんすいたい）の因縁」があるから、なにをやっても、うまくいかない。不運と挫折の連続である。病気や、怪我、人にだまされる、など、わけのわからない不幸や災難に見舞われる。そういうところから、家族間の争いは深刻を度を増してゆく。不幸な時ほど家族みんなが力を合わせ、仲よく協力し合って対処しなければならないのに、逆になってゆくのである。
解脱供養をすると、こういったことが、おどろくほど、変わってくる。とにかく、家庭を覆っていたトゲトゲしい空気、暗い空気がいっぺんになごんでいくのが実感される。てきめんに変わってくる。
二、冥徳供養法
これは、つよい霊障を起こすまでには至らないが、しかし、成仏できずに苦しんでいる、多数の不成仏霊にたいする成仏供養である。
安岡正篤先生は、
「われわれの先祖は、二十代さかのぼると、百万人を越え、三十代さかのぼると十億を越えるという」
とおっしゃっている。
わたくしの霊視によると、直接、霊障の影響をあたえるのは、三代ないし、四代くらい前までの先祖である。特殊な例をのぞいて、ふつう、それくらいである。
これにたいし、不成仏霊の影響は、七代、八代、ときに十代くらいにまで範囲がおよぶ。
いずれも「家運衰退の因縁」と、それにかかわる悪因縁のもとをなしている。
ときには、何代まえかわからない不成仏霊の漠然（ばくぜん）とした悪影響を感じることがある。
こういった場合、多くは、単体ではなく、数体、もしくは十数体もかたまっていることがあり、わたくしは、これはもう「因縁」ではなく、「業（ごう）」になっているな、と思うことがある。これらも、その家系（いえ）の運を悪くし、さまざまな災難のもとをなしているので、とりのぞかねばならないのである。
これらの不成仏霊にたいする成仏法が、「冥徳供養法」である。
この法が冥徳供養法と呼ばれるのは、この法によって、これらの不成仏霊を解脱してあげると、その供養をした人にかならず、「冥徳」があらわれるからである。冥徳とは、祖霊の冥（かげ）の助けを受ける徳をいう。
この冥徳供養をおこなうと、ふしぎに、思いがけない幸運にめぐり合うのである。家運もよくなる。
この冥徳供養は、解脱供養とちがって、導師の私だけが修法するのではなく、わたくしが修法した先祖の塔婆を、家の御宝塔前に奉安して、わたくしの教えた特別な「冥徳供養真言」をとなえて、解脱成仏と、冥徳を下さるように祈念するのである。
