チャクラを内分泌腺という近代医学、生理学の面からながめてみた。それでは、そのチャクラを、密教自身はどのように考え、どのように説明しているか、今度は密教の立場から見てみよう。
Ｉ ムラダーラーチャクラ
体力が非常に増進して、普通人の三？五倍の精力を持つようになる。三日、四目の徹夜くらい
平気になる。一切の病気を受けつけず、健康体そのものとなる。病弱だった者は、その悪いところがみな癒ってしまうのだ。このチャクラにを集中したとき瀕死の病人でも床を蹴って立ち上るだろう。男女ともに実際の年令より10歳以上若くなる。そのかわり、強烈な性欲と生殖力を持つようになるので、その干不ルギーを、オージャスという知能の干不ルギーに変える方法をあわせ教える。
２ スヴァジスターナーチャクラ
このチャクラにエネルギーを集中すれば、気力が充実し、勇敢になって、積極果敢な行動力をチャクラの発揮するようになる。なにものをも畏れず、なにごとにも惑わず、不動の信念をもってどんな困難にもひるまない。生死を超越した超人的手腕力量を発揮する。
３ マニピューラーチャクラ
ヨーガースートラの「臍輪に綜制をほどこすことによって、体内の組織を知ることができる」というのが、このチャクラである。体内の組織を知ることができるというのは、ただ知るということだけではなく、からだの組織を自由にコントロールすることができるということである。それも、自分のからだだけではなく、他人のからだも自由にコントロールする力を持つから、人の病気なども即座に癒してしまうのである。
このチャクラは、五気のうちの「サマーナの気」に属するものであるから、「サマーナ気を克服するならば、身体から火焔を発することができる」とあるように、このチヤクラを綜制することにより、火のエネルギーを出せるようになる。念力の護摩の火は、このチヤクラと、ヴィシュダー・チヤクラを使って出すのである。クンダリニー密教の奥義書には、「定に入って目を閉じているとき、このチャクラから、黄色味を帯びた白熱の火焔が水蒸気のように立ちのぼるのが見え、また、道を行くとき、同じ色をした火焔に腰から腹部のあたりがつつまれているのが見える。うすい煙か霧のように見えることもある」と記されている。このチヤクラが、ムラダーラーチヤクラで増強された生殖干不ルギーを、別な物質に変化させる。（どうしてそれができるかはあとで述べる）おなじように、体内に入ってきた毒物、毒素は、このチヤクラが分解したり、べつな物質に変えてしまう。だからＰＣＢ、ＤＤＴ、などの毒物も、このチャクラの力で無害のものにしてしまうことができる。
はっきり火焔が出せるようになると、物質原素を変化させて、べつな物質に変えてしまう力を持ちはじめる。
４ アナハターチャクラ
他心通の力があらわれてきて、他人の心が手にとるように分るようになると同時に、他人の心を自由に動かす力が出てくる。
つづいて、目に見えぬものの高い心（聖霊、神霊、主導霊と表現する）と心を交流することができるようになる。自分にとって不可解な、理解できぬことなどを、天地にみちた、すぐれた心、智恵の干不ルギーに同化してそこから聞くことができる。つまり、人の肉体はほろびても、その人の持っていた心のエネルギーはこの空間に痕跡をとどめているので、このチヤクラでその心の波動と同じ波動になれば、その心が持っていたすべてのもの、意識も、知能もみな自分と同化して自分のものになるということである。そういう意味で、このチヤクラに十分熟達すると、霊界（四次元）の世界と交流の道がひらけるのである。
５ ヴィシュダー・チャクラ
超人的な聴力がそなわる。実際に、このチヤクラが使えるようになると、それまで全く聞こえていなかったある音響を聞くことができるようになる。これは私自身の体験であるが、

わる。仏教の天耳通である。
また、このチヤクラは、頭部、上肢（両腕）及び胸部の筋肉運動に深い関係を持つ。
６ アジナー・チャクラ
異常な透視力を持つようになる。ヨーガースートラにある「心の発現にそなわる光をあてることによって、どんなに微細なものでも、人目につかぬところにかくされているものでも、はるか遠くにあるものでも知ることができる」という能力である。
テレパシー能力が生ずる。ヨーガースートラにいう″大肌身″が可能になるのはこのチヤクラである。
このチヤクラは、また、命令のチヤクラ、願望成就のチヤクラ、自在力のチヤクラともいわれ、熟達すると、自然に命令してこれを自在に動かし、自由に支配ナることができるようになる。すなわち、八種の自在力をそなえるようになる。八種の自在力とは、前にも述べたように、
山身体を極限まで小さくして、岩などを自由に通り抜ける力 即からだを大空にいっぱいになるほど大きくする力 即蓮の糸や綿くずよりも軽くなる力 ㈲望みのままに、月にでも指をふれることができる力 即自分の意志するままに、どんなことがらでも実現できる力 世界を創造し、支配する力 閉万物を自分の意のままに従わせる力 大地のように身を重くすることのできる力、あるいは、自分の意欲の対象を必ず手に入れることのできる力、の八種でる。
7 サハスララーチャクラ
頭のなかの光明Ｍｕｒｄｈａｊｙｏｔioといわれるチヤクラである。Ｂｒａｈｍａ ｒａｎｄｈｒａ梵の座、梵の裂け目という頭蓋骨の接合するところの真下に位置する。梵の座、梵の裂け目とは、梵すなわち聖なるもの、と一体になる場所という意味である。
このチヤクラを目ざめさせると、この部位に光明があらわれて、燦然とかがやく。頭のなかの光明である。
このチヤクラはすべてのチヤクラを統合してこれを自由に制御する。すべてのチヤクラを自由に制御することができるようになると、彼は次第に変身する。昆虫が全身を覆うかたい表皮を次第に溶かし、しなやかな、しかし丈夫な羽翼を自然に身につけて、空飛ぶ蝶に変態するごとく、
彼はヒトからべつな生物に変身する。三次元生物のホモーサピエンスから四次元生物の超・ヒト、ホモーエクセレンスに変身する。ヨーガでは、これを聖なるものと一体になる、と形容した。

このことについて、「ザーチャクラス」の著者、Ｌｅａｄｂｅａｔｅｒ氏は図を示して解説している。

Ｌｅａｄｂｅａｔｅｒ氏によればこの像の頭部は、「最初に九六〇の花弁のように大きい盛り上り、それから、頂きに、それから上っている十二のより小さい盛り上りがある」といっている。このチャクラは、中心の幅が十二、その周囲の輪は、九六〇である。氏る。は、このかたちが、仏陀に象徴されるこのチャクラの二つの型のうちのひとつであるといっている。

Because they have the power to freely control not only their own bodies but also the bodies of others, they can instantly heal people’s illnesses.
This chakra belongs to the “Samana Qi” of the five Qi, so as the saying goes, “If you overcome the Samana Qi, you can emit flames from your body.” This chakra must be controlled. 5 Vishudha Chakra

6 Ajna Chakra

7 Sahasrara Chakra
