密教の伝来

日本で密教が公の場において初めて紹介されたのは、唐から帰国した伝教大師最澄によるものであった。当時の皇族や貴族は、最澄が本格的に修学した天台教学よりも、現世利益を重視する密教、来世での極楽浄土への生まれ変わりを約束する浄土教（念仏）に関心を寄せたが、天台教学が主であった最澄は密教を本格的に修学していたわけではなかった。

本格的に日本へ伝来されることになるのは、唐における密教の拠点であった青龍寺において密教を本格的に修学した空海（弘法大師）が806年に日本に帰国してからであった。日本に伝わったのは中期密教で、唐代には儒教の影響も強かったので後期密教はタントラ教が性道徳に反するとして唐では受け入れられなかったという説もある^{[注 5]}。

天台宗の豪潮律師^{[注 6]}は長崎の出島で中国僧から直接、中国密教と「出家戒」や、大系的な戒律である小乘戒・大乘戒・三昧耶戒を授かり、時の光格天皇の師として尊敬を集めるとともに、南海の龍と呼ばれた尾張・大納言齊朝候の庇護を受け、尾張と江戸で「準提法」（准胝観音法）を広めて多くの弟子を養成した。豪潮の残した資料の一つ『準提懺摩法 全』は明代の中国の資料と内容が一致する。この時期、戒律復興運動で有名な人物としては、「如法真言律」を提唱し、生涯において三十数万人の僧俗に灌頂と授戒を行なった霊雲寺の浄厳覚彦と、「正法律」を唱えた慈雲が挙げられる。

密教の宗派[編集]

日本密教の伝統的な宗派としては、空海が唐の青龍寺恵果に受法して請来し、真言密教として体系付けた真言宗（即身成仏と鎮護国家を二大テーゼとしている）と、最澄によって創始され、円仁、円珍、安然らによって完成された日本天台宗の継承する密教に分類される。真言宗が密教専修であるのに対し、天台宗は天台・密教・戒律・禅の四宗相承である。真言宗は東密とも呼ばれ、日本天台宗の密教は台密とも呼ばれる。東密とは「東寺（教王護国寺）の密教」、台密は「天台宗の密教」の意味である。この体系的に請来されて完成された東密、台密を純密（じゅんみつ）というのに対し、純密以前に断片的に請来され信仰された奈良時代に見る密教を雑密（ぞうみつ）という。

日本の密教は、空海、最澄以前から存在した霊山を神聖視する在来の山岳信仰とも結びつき、修験道などの「神仏習合」の主体ともなった。各地の寺院・権現に伝わる山岳曼荼羅にはそれらや浄土信仰の影響が認められる。

空海（くうかい、774年〈宝亀5年〉- 835年4月22日〈承和2年3月21日〉）は、平安時代初期の僧。弘法大師（こうぼうだいし）の諡号で知られる真言宗の開祖である。俗名は佐伯 眞魚（さえき の まお^[1]）^[2]。

日本天台宗の開祖最澄と共に、日本仏教の大勢が、今日称される奈良仏教から平安仏教へと、転換していく流れの劈頭（へきとう）に位置し、中国より真言密教をもたらした。能書家としても知られ、嵯峨天皇・橘逸勢と共に三筆のひとりに数えられている。

仏教において、北伝仏教の大潮流である大乗仏教の中で、ヒンドゥー教やゾロアスター教の影響も取り込む形で誕生・発展した密教がシルクロードを経て中国に伝わった後、中国で伝授を受けた奥義や経典・曼荼羅などを、体系立てた形で日本に伝来させた人物でもある。

呼吸

呼吸は″生き”である

　いま、わたくしは、心と呼吸は一体であるといったが、呼吸は、心と一体で

あるだけではなく、体とも一体なのである。

健康で心が安定していれば、呼吸もおだやかで安定している。

　体が不調であると、呼吸もリズムが乱れて不安定となる。疲れたときや病気

が重いとき、呼吸は浅く、荒くなる。精神的な激しいショックを受けたときも

同じである。

　また、心因性の病気を持つ人や、精神病者も、呼吸が荒く、正常ではない。

　まさに、呼吸は、生きのである。

　そこで、求聞持聡明法の、心をコントロールする呼吸法は、まず、正しい呼

吸のしかたからスタートする。

　というのは、悪い呼吸をしていたら、超能力どころではない。体も、心も、

また脳も、悪い影響を受けて、本来持っている力さえも、十分に発揮すること

ができないのである。

いや、それだけではない、健康を害して病気になったり、ときには大切な生

命まで失ってしまうおそれがあるのである。

　その反対に、正しい良い呼吸を身につけると、体は強健になり、いつまでも

若々しく、心はつねに明るくさわやかに、脳もまた明敏なはたらきをするよう

になる。

　それがウソではない証拠に、その反対の、良くない呼吸をしてみよう。どう

なるか？

まず、最悪の呼吸のしかたである。

それは、浅い弱々しい呼吸と、それにもまして、悪いのは、しばしば息を止

める呼吸である。

　たとえば、思索にふけるとき、あるいは、心配ごとや不安に心が閉ざされる

とき、われわれは、出る息、入る息を止めた状態になることがよくある。

　また、怒り、妬み、煩悶などに心がさいなまれているとき、われわれは、吸

った息を止めていることが多い。こういうとき、必ず、胸に力が入っている。

その場合、胸腔は強い陽圧の状態にある。この場合の陽圧というのは、体の外

の大気の圧より高い状態のことで、これに対し、陰圧というのは、胸の中が大

気圧より低い状態のことで、その場合、肺の中へ大気が自然に導入されること

になる。

これが、自然の生理なのだが、その出るべき息を無意識ででも止めたら、胸腔は強い陽圧となって、生理学的に非常に悪い状態が発生するのである。

　それは、心臓に遣るべき静脈血の流れが、一時的に乱れるのである。と’いう

ことは、全身の血液循環系を乱すことを意味するので、それがしばしば繰り返

されると、当然、多くの内臓の機能に悪影響が生ずるのである。全身の静脈血

が停滞するため、うっ血が起こり、静脈の怒張から静脈瘤が生ずるようにな

る。

さらに、なによりも恐ろしいのは、脳出血の引きがねとなることであろう。

力をこめて息を止めたままでいると頭が重くなり、果ては頭痛がして来る。そ

れは、脳圧が上るからである。額に青すじが立つのは、静脈が怒張するからで、

それは、首から上の静脈血がスムーズに心臓に還れないためである。

こういう状態で年輩の人が激論をたたかわせているうち、突然、たおれることがよくあ

る。脳卒中の発作である。先日、中国の胡耀邦前国家総書記が急死されたが、

報道によると、某要人と会議で激論をたたかわせ、その直後、たおれられたと

いう。

まことに痛ましいことであるが、脳静脈のうっ滞は、脳動脈の充血をひき起こす。そのめ、脳圧が上昇して、こういう悲劇をまねくことになりやすいのである。緊張のため、一日のうちに何回も、いや、時には何十回も無意識のうちに胸に力を入れて息を止めていることが多いわたくしたちは、それがどんなに生体に悪影響を及ぼしているか、よく理解しなければならないであろう。

守護仏とはどういう仏か？

仏教における信仰は、
仏法僧の「三宝」によって成り立つ

それまで、阿含経は小乗仏教とされて、大乗仏教の宗派から全くかえりみられることなく過ごしてきました。
桐山管長が、その歴史上の誤りを正され、阿含宗を立宗してお釈迦さまが説かれた真実の仏教を信仰の面から世に弘めることになった意義は、まことに大きいものです。
仏教における信仰は、「仏」「法」「僧」の三大要素によって成り立ちます。仏教教団は、この三つの要素が正しいものであると同時に、すべてそろっていなければなりません。
つまり、正しい教団か否かは、それによって決定するわけです。

一、仏
その宗旨における信仰の絶対対象である仏を「本尊」と呼びます。阿含宗の本尊は、釈迦の聖霊（せいれい）が宿る聖物（せいもつ）として、昔から仏教徒の間で深く尊崇されている「真身舎利（しんじんしゃり）」です。
阿含宗では、これを「真正仏舎利尊（しんせいぶっしゃりそん）」と呼んでいます。
仏教徒にとって、ゴータマ・ブッダ＝お釈迦さまのご聖骨である真正仏舎利は「生いける釈迦」そのものであり、仏教では唯一最高の本尊です。
想像や概念上の仏ではなく、木像や図像の仏でもなく、ブッダとして実在した釈迦の聖骨であり、仏教における最高の本尊です。

二、法
阿含宗には、三つの修行法があります。

「成仏法（じょうぶつほう）」
　生者、死者を問わず、カルマ（業）を断ち切り、因縁解脱（成仏）してブッダ（真理に目覚めた人）になる方法です。
釈尊が阿含経の中で説かれている、「七科三十七道品」がその成仏法です。

「如意宝珠法（にょいほうじゅほう）」
真言密教において、最高最奥義とされる秘法です。この法を修するためには真身舎利が必要です。真身舎利を奉安して如意宝珠法を修すると、真身舎利変じて如意宝珠となるのです。如意宝珠法とは、願うがままに、福徳宝生・因縁解脱の功徳を与えてくださる秘法です。

「求聞持聡明法（ぐもんじそうめいほう）」
古くから真言密教に伝わる、人を天才にする法です。しかし、これまでに多くの高僧たちがこの法を修してきましたが、そのほとんどは目的を達成することができませんでした。
阿含宗の求聞持聡明法は、真言密教に伝わるものとはまったく異なる独自の法です。
管長猊下は「求聞持聡明法」の原点が、釈迦の成仏法「七科三十七道品」の中にあることを発見されました。
七科三十七道品の中の「四神足法（しじんそくほう）」こそ、人間の頭脳を改造し、凡夫をして仏陀のさとりに至らしめる法であることを発見、これを復元されました。

三、僧
　僧とは、教団そのもの、または指導者を指します。
阿含宗は、桐山靖雄管長を指導者として仰ぎ、真正仏舎利尊を本尊とする、サンガ（僧伽）、すなわち教団です。
「すべてのカルマを断つ釈迦直説の成仏法」「解脱宝生の徳が授かる如意宝珠法」「新しい二十一世紀を創り出すホモ・エクセレンス^※を輩出する求聞持聡明法」。阿含宗は、この三大秘法を有するサンガです。
※ホモ・エクセレンス= ホモ・サピエンスが持たない特別な能力をを身につけた「優秀なるヒト」

守護仏とはどういう仏か？

利を、守護仏とおよびするのである。守護仏とは、仏舎利のことなのである。

　それは当然のことで、仏教の始祖たる仏陀シャカこそ、すべての仏教徒の一心の祈

りにこたえて、救いの手をさしのべてくださる守護仏なのである。

「駄都法」「如意宝珠法」

密教最極最奥の秘法

　さて、わたくしは、さきの章で、密教が、盛大な仏舎利信仰をマンダラにとり入れたとのべたが、密教が仏舎利信仰をとり入れたのは、マンダラだけではなかったのである。

　密教にとってもっとも重要な修法の上にもとり入れたのである。

「駄都法」「如意宝珠法」と名づける、密教において最極最奥とされる深秘の法がそれである。

　つまり、インドの仏教徒たちが得た霊験功徳を、修法としてとり入れたわけだ。それはかたちを変えた仏舎利信仰にほかならないわけで、密教は、こういうかたちで、インドにおける仏教信仰の本流をとり入れたということである。

「如意宝珠法」についてすこしのべると、「如意宝珠法」とは、如意宝珠を本尊として修する法である。

　それでは、如意宝珠とはいったいなにかというと、それは仏舎利のことで、『密教

大辞典』（法蔵館）に、こうしるされている。

如意宝珠

　梵に真陀摩尼という。真陀は思惟、摩尼は宝珠なり。宝珠より種々の物を出すこと意の如くなるをもって名づく。

　略して如意珠・宝珠摩尼・摩尼珠といい、能作性珠とも名づく。古来、竜王あるいは摩鶏魚の脳中等より出づといい或いは仏舎利変じて宝珠となるという。（中

略）Ｌ八、弘法人師空海の。御遺告”に、如意宝珠の製造法が記されており、それによ

ると、仏舎利三十二粒を、純金と数種の香木をもって練って玉とするとあり。のち、範俊、勝賢の二僧正もこれを製作し、実賢僧正の、『秘紗問答』十八に「日本国宝珠製造人、大師、範俊、勝賢僧正、以上の三人也Ｌとあるが、その勝賢僧正の秘記によると、じつは仏舎利を相承の口伝に依って厳封し、これを如意宝珠と観ずるのであって練玉を造るのではない、とある。

　つまり、要するに仏舎利そのものをもって、如意宝珠とするわけである。

　この如意宝珠、すなわち仏舎利をもって本尊とし、法を修するのが、「如意宝珠法」であるが、おなじく『密教大辞典』にこうある。

如意宝珠法

略して宝珠法という。如意宝珠を本尊として修する法。

　この法は密教における最極深秘の法にして、つねにはこの名を秘して、姐理法

と合字を用い、あるいは如宝・如法・如去といい、あるいは駄都法・｛朱法・如々｛一と記し、あるいは彼法と記す。

この法には本経本軌なく、御遺告ならびに師資相承の口伝をもって修行の軌則とす。

　三宝院流等はこの法と駄都法を同一とし、釈尊の舎利を如意宝珠と観ずる秘法となせども、勧修寺流等は各別法とす。

　この法は、舎利すなわち宝珠を本尊として修する秘法なるがゆえに、駄都秘訣に本尊の観じかたをのべて、

　分亀（回診）字一変盛宝鉢一鉢変戌・釈迦牟尼如来丿是常在霊山仏也。濁世末代

衆生不辿習多仏身叙、以矢悲方便一入‘・宝生三摩少即芦身ま孝（応答）チ、字変

席如意宝珠一宝珠即駄都也。（バク字あり、変じて宝鉢となる

牟尼如来となる。是れ、常在霊山の仏なり。濁世末代の衆生、仏身を見るにたえず、故に大悲の方便をもって宝生の三摩地に入り、即ち身を変じてタラク宇と

なり、字変じて如意宝珠となる。宝珠すなわち駄都なり）　と示し、此の法は生身の舎利即ち吾人本其の覚性と同一体なりと観ずるなり。

……此の法を修するには、道場の中心に塔婆（舎利宝塔）を安んじ、其の中に仏舎利（五粒・三粒・一粒等）を金壷に盛りこれを安んず。　とある。

「如意宝珠法」は、『密教大辞典』にある通り、密教最極最奥の深秘の法であるから、

まだいろいろ秘して口伝としている部分が多いが、以上でだいたいおわかりのことと思う。

　それでは、その深秘の法である「如意宝珠法Ｌは、いかなる法験ありや、ということになるが、それは、この法の本尊観（道場観）のところで、つぎのように観じているところから、およそ、推察できるであろう。

如意宝珠法の本尊観

　三宝院流の「如意宝珠法、本尊観」では、つぎのように観じるのである。

　……一宇変じて如意宝珠となる。即ち、七ぢの大光明を放って十方世界を照らす。光の中に無量の珍宝名衣上服百味の飲食を雨らす。一切の所須みな衆生の願楽にしたがって充足せしむ。

　また、光の中に宝蓮華を雨らす。蓮華の中に声あって、微妙の法を説く。衆生、聞く者ことごとく無上菩提心を発す。

　また、この光はるかに奈梨（地獄）の底を照らす。受苦の衆生ことごとく抜苦

与楽す。凡そ三界困苦の衆生、一々みなこの光に触れて解脱を得。

つまりヽこの法の法験は、

　　　福徳宝生

　　　因縁解脱

　の二つの功徳をあたえるのである。

　……光の中に無量の珍宝名衣上服百味の飲食を雨らす。一切の所須み』な衆生の願楽にしたがって充足せしむ……衆生の一切の願いごと、望みごとをみなかなえる、すなわち、福徳宝生であり、

　……凡そ三界困苦の衆生、一々みなこの光に触れて解脱を得……地獄におちて苦しむもの、悪因縁に苦しむ三界の衆生、ことごとく解脱させる。すなわち、因縁解脱の

功徳である。

　まさに、密教が、これ以上の法はないとして、最極最奥の深秘の法とするのは、当然のことである。

　密教に、秘法、大法、かず知れずあるといえども、これに勝る法はない。密教の修行者にして、一度はこの法を修してみたいと願わぬものは、だれＩ人ないいの鰹』ろうか。

In Agon Shu, this is called “Shinsei Buddhist priesthood”.
For Buddhists, the true Buddha’s sacred bone, Gautama Buddha, is the “living Buddha” itself, and is the only principal image of Buddhism.
It is neither an imaginary or conceptual Buddha, nor a wooden or iconographic Buddha, but a sacred bone of Buddha that actually existed as Buddha, and is the highest principal image in Buddhism.

Two, the law
There are three training methods in Agon Shu.

“Buddhahood Law”
Regardless of whether it is alive or dead, it is a method of cutting off karma (work), breaking the cause (Buddhahood), and becoming a Buddha (a person who has awakened to the truth).
The Buddhahood method is “Seven departments and thirty-seven dojos,” which Buddha preaches in Agama.

“Nyoi Hojuho”
It is the highest and most mysterious secret method in Shingon Esoteric Buddhism. In order to learn this law, you need to have a true body. If you enshrine the true body and practice the Nyoi jewel method, the true body will change to become a jewel. The Nyoi Hojuho is a secret method that gives you the merit of Fukutoku Hosei and the liberation of the cause, as you wish.

“Gumonji Someiho”
It is a method of making people a genius, which has been passed down from ancient times to Shingon Esoteric Buddhism. However, many high priests have practiced this law so far, but most of them have failed to achieve their goals.
Agon Shu’s scholarship method is a unique method that is completely different from the one transmitted in Shingon Esoteric Buddhism.
His Eminence discovered that the origin of the “Kancho Mochi Satoshiho” is in the Buddhahood Buddhahood “Seven Departments Thirty-Seven Doshin”.

It is the secret law that is said to be the deepest and deepest in esoteric Buddhism, which is called the “Datoho” and “Nyoi Hojuho”.
