人は輪廻転生するか
釈尊はセーニャにたいして、こう教えておられるのである。
なるほど、釈尊は、霊魂ということぼけ使っていらっしゃらない。しかし、よ
ろしいか、身やぶれ命終して現世の五羅が消滅しても、「異羅」が生じて相続す
るとおっしゃっておられるのである。「羅」とは。集まり”という意味であるか
ら、異羅とはいまの五羅とまた異なった集まり、つまり剰冽所行剰石川、と解釈
したらよいであろう。それが存在を受けつぐというのである。つまり、死んでも
人間は、我執か残るかぎり、「なにかが」存在をつづけるのである。どうして。
日本の仏教はいままで、こんな重大なところを見落としてしまも知れない。
常見とは、前にのべた通り、「常住不滅」ということである。だか
ら、霊魂ということばは使わないにせよ、死んでも存在をつづけるというのは
そういうと、それでは「常見」になるのではないか、というひとが出てくるか
「常見」ではないか、そういわれるかも知れない。
そうではないのである。我執の煩悩さえなければ、異羅は生じないし、それは
消滅してしまうのである。「常住不滅」ではないのである。
バラモンその他が説
くように、自我（アートマン）が常住不滅の。実在”であるならば、なにをどう
したって、その存在は消滅することはない。
いつまでも輪廻転生をつづけるであろう。しかし、釈尊は、それは実在ではなく、
「因縁の仮合」だとおっしゃっておられる。因縁の仮合だから因縁が消えればすべてが消える。
ではなんの因縁なのかというと、慢（我執煩悩）の因縁であるという。だから「常見」ではないわけである。
