Dainichi means “Great Sun”. It is a Buddha who evolved from Vairocana, who governs the sun. In esoteric Buddhism, Dainichi Nyorai represents the truth of the universe and refers to the universe itself. It is also said that all living things are born from Dainichi Nyorai, and other Buddhas, including Shaka Nyorai, are considered to be incarnations of Dainichi Nyorai.
There are two different ways of looking at Dainichi Nyorai: the Vajrayana … Benefits
Peace in this world, fulfillment of wishes. Also, it is the guardian deity for those born in the years of the Sheep and Monkey.
Appearance of Dainichi Nyorai
Originally, the Nyorai is modeled on the appearance of Shakyamuni after he became a monk, so he does not wear any accessories, but Dainichi Nyorai is in a class of his own, wearing luxurious accessories and a jeweled crown. Also, his hair is tied up instead of in a spiral hair style.
The shapes of the mudras are different for the Vajra Realm and the Garbha Realm. Dainichi Nyorai in the Vajra Realm holds up the index finger of his left hand and wraps it with his right hand in the wisdom fist mudra. On the other hand, Dainichi Nyorai in the Garbha Realm holds up all the fingers of both hands in front of his stomach and clasps them together in the jō mudra.

A guardian deity who eradicates evil
With wrath, he overcomes obstacles

He presides over the baptism by fire
