“Mahāsthāmaprāpta” is a bodhisattva in Buddhism, who is widely revered in many Buddhist temples. He is depicted as a symbol of wisdom, often holding a water-filled vase in his hand.
His name, also known as “Daishizhi” in Chinese, means “one who has attained great virtue.” He sits on the right side of Shakyamuni Buddha and is one of the bodhisattvas of Avalokiteshvara, with a mission to offer compassion and save people.
