成道
体力を回復したシャカは、附近の一樹の下に端座し、ここで宇宙人生の真理をさとって、仏陀となった。ときに三十五歳であった。
仏陀とは、覚者、すなわち真理をさとった者、という意味である。
この地はブッダガヤ Ｂｕｄｄｈａｇａｙａとよばれ、かれがその下にすわった樹木は、菩提樹とよばれるようになった。
かれは、覚者となると、その喜びのため、またそのさとりの内容を反省し、かつこれを世の人に説きしめす方法を考察するなどのために、七週間、瞑想をつづけたとされてい。
その間、このあたらしく発見された真理は、あまりにも深遠なものであるから、俗事におぼれている世人は、とても理解できないであろうから、その宣布を放棄しようとまで考えたが、さらに思いなおして、この真理を理解する者も多少はあるだろうし、またこれを通俗平易に説くことによって、他の人たちにも受け入れられるであろうと考えて、伝道の決意をした。

シ ャ After recovering strength, Shaka sits beneath a nearby tree, where he took the truth of cosmic life and became a Buddha. Sometimes she was thirty-five years old.
Buddha means an awakened person, that is, a person who has taken the truth.
This land is called Buddhagaya, and the tree under which he sat is now called the Bodhi tree.
He is said to have been meditating for seven weeks when he became awakener, for his pleasure, and to reflect on the contents of the satori and to consider how to preach it to the world.
In the meantime, this newly discovered truth is so profound that the savage dweller would not be able to understand it very much, so he thought about abandoning its declaration, but rethinking. He decided to preach on the belief that some would understand this truth and that it would be acceptable to others by preaching it plainly.
